Welcome to my gallery!

After a rewarding career spanning many years as an interior designer specializing in retail, workplace, and leisure interiors, I'm thrilled to finally dedicate myself to my lifelong passion: painting. While drawing and creating visual presentations were always integral to my design work, the demanding pace of the industry meant I rarely had the opportunity to truly develop my painting skills. Retirement has granted me the time and freedom to explore this creative avenue, and I'm excited to share the results with you.

My work, created over the past couple of years, is deeply informed by my design background, particularly in its emphasis on texture. Whether I'm capturing architectural forms or landscapes, I heavily utilize impasto and palette knife techniques to build rich, tactile surfaces. This approach allows me to imbue each piece with a sense of depth and physicality. My pure abstract works take this exploration of texture even further, often incorporating techniques like scrapping, modeling, and distressing to create intricate and engaging compositions. Beyond the studio, I'm also a keen urban sketcher. As an active member of several Urban Sketchers (USK) groups, I enjoy using my A5 sketchbook as an on-the-go visual diary, capturing the essence of the world around me wherever I go.
